As a trauma professional, it is very important for me that you use the practices and tools offered by me in a safe way.
Some people find it best to keep their eyes open or to softly gaze at a candle or flowers while doing these practices while others are most benefited by closing their eyes.
While the practices I offer are designed to be safe, for some people, any practice that invites stillness or directs their attention inward, can exacerbate symptoms of traumatic stress. If at any time you feel uncomfortable, start experiencing dysregulation or dissociation, please stop the practice and do something that is pleasant and resourcing for you.
